To use Facebook on any platform is to allow access to all sorts of personal information in the first place, but users must now decide whether chatting with their Facebook friends on their cell phone is worth a potential further invasion of their privacy.
Facebook recently began requiring users wishing to message their Facebook Friends on their smartphones to install its new Messenger app. The new App requested a long list of intrusive features, such as access to the camera, text messages and microphone. This caused many users to forgo installing the new app.
